One year after the first DESIREE meeting in Paris – and with substantial documented progress achieved along the way! - the team met again face-to-face in the LIMICS premises in Paris, Campus des Cordeliers, on September 6-7 2017. This time the integration topic was in focus. The work performed by the different Workpackages (WPs) is now coming at the critical integration phase, where defined requirements, treatment guidelines, case scenarios, algorithms, developed components and much more should converge!
Split in technical and clinical sessions which were running in parallel during the two days of the meeting, the agenda enabled the structured discussion between WP representatives mainly on issues related to system integration. Partners were presenting the outcomes and current status of their work. Several individual components were demonstrated, allowing for exchange, commenting and action items allocated.
Common sessions were also planned for horizontal actions like dissemination activities and ethics to be discussed, as well as for the team to streamline in view of the upcoming Review meeting, early October.
Clinician perspectives elaborated, lively discussions, work in small groups, presentations, notes, clarifications, enthusiastic teamwork in action were some of the meeting highlights. To conclude with a group photo in the interior garden of the Campus de Cordeliers, one year after!
