DESIREE Final Project meeting to be held in San Sebastian

42 months and 9 F2F meetings after the official Project Kick-off meeting in San Sebastian, Spain in February 2016, the DESIREE Consortium meets again in San Sebastian for the closing session! This will take place on 11th July 2019, in VICOMTECH premises.

As July is the last month of the extended project duration, signifying the completion of DESIREE project, the team is preparing for the final, closing F2F meeting hosted by the Vicomtech Coordination team in San Sebastian.

The meeting will start with a project overview, reviewing KPIs, recommendations and overall achievements. The completion of Milestone 5: Validation will of course be a key topic. Each Workpackage will be then separately discussed, in terms of project wide activities, results and lessons learnt. Preparations and coordination for the Final Review meeting are also included in the agenda.

Throughout the project lifetime, the team has demonstrated a very active presence in the scientific fora, leaving behind a significant dissemination footprint. This final DESIREE Consortium meeting in San Sebastian is also combined with the organization of an ambitious Workshop:

Relevant Outcomes on Big Data and Decision Support Systems for Cancer Management.

The Workshop will take place on Friday, 12th July 2019, in the Conference Room of Onkologikoa, a DESIREE Project clinical partner. Onkologikoa co-organizes this event with Vicomtech with the objective to show the latest advances regarding clinical decision support systems (CDSS) and Big Data for oncology, in view of the results of the DESIREE Horizon 2020 project, and the future perspectives. Addressed to a variety of stakeholders such as Clinicians, Researchers, Epidemiologists, Industry representatives, Hospital managers and Policy makers, the attendance of the event is free but requires registration in advance since the places are limited.
